A new group dedicated to supporting the cultural community in Lincoln is now holding its meetings at Southside!
The Lincoln Cultural Collective is an independent initiative to develop and support cultural activity across the city.
That could include anything from theatres, galleries and museums to musicians, actors, potters, tailors, poets, pubs, and much more besides!
The collective wants to bring people together to discuss, debate, inform and inspire. If you’d like to find out more you can join their Facebook group.
We had visits last week from some other community groups who are interested in hiring our spaces. Watch this space for updates!
Meanwhile our resident groups and activity leaders continued to make the most of our venue last week: Rise and Shine are loving their new space, the St Katherine’s Hall, which they use on Monday evenings for Sign Choir and a community theatre group for adults with disabilities.
Pop-up skipping sessions led by Jack from BoxerciseLincoln Elite (Mondays at 7pm) continue to be popular, as do the Irish dance classes in the Amie Slavin Hall on Tuesdays at 6.30pm run by Tom Conroy from the Tom Conroy Irish Dance Academy.
Rock Choir sessions on Wednesday mornings at 10.30am also continue. All ages and abilities are welcome, no musical knowledge is necessary, and the group sings familiar rock and pop songs you already know and love. Join them!
