Welcome Wiki!

We’d like to give a warm Southside welcome to Wiki Laszewska, who’s joined us as Assistant Venue Manager!

Wiki happened to be walking past Southside and bumped into one of our directors. She asked if there were any volunteering opportunities and soon started working for us.

Within a month Wiki was helping out around the venue including at our monthly events, and then we invited her to represent the venue at the Lincolnshire Showground’s wedding fayre as a trial shift. She did so well that we offered her a permanent job as Assistant Venue Manager and she’s never looked back!

“I started off potwashing in a café in Lincoln at the age of 14, and although I’ve always been driven I’ve never really found my calling where my career is concerned,” said Wiki, who was born in Poland but moved to Lincoln with her mum when she was four.

“I started in my new job here on 13th February and it’s been really good – I’ve been helping out for a while but it’s nice to be here full time and get the lowdown on everything Acoustic Nations do.

“There’s so much going on, it’s amazing!”

As Assistant Venue Manager Wiki is getting involved with all aspects of work at Southside, from sending emails and helping out with paperwork to food hygiene training, setting up for events and liaising with bookings.

In her spare time Wiki loves yoga and going to the gym and is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle.
